Finca la Primavera is an exceptional Geisha grown with passion in the lush Santa María region of Colombia at 1,780 metres above sea level. Aldemar Osorio — heir to 25 years of family coffee expertise and a member of the prestigious "Productores del Futuro" excellence programme — tends a six-hectare farm alongside avocado and plantain trees, where the shade and diverse ecosystem contribute to the quality of his coffee. His washed Geisha offers an unforgettable sensory experience: jasmine florals entwining with the fruity sweetness of peach and mango, lifted by a touch of orange candy, and closing on a delicately lemony, herbaceous cardamom finish.


THE PRODUCER

Aldemar Osorio cultivates his six-hectare family farm in Santa María as a mixed agroforestry holding, growing coffee alongside avocado and plantain in a model that benefits both soil health and cup quality. With 25 years of coffee experience and membership of Kawa Coffee's "Productores del Futuro" programme — a direct trade initiative supporting the next generation of Colombian producers — Aldemar brings the discipline and knowledge to produce a Geisha of international calibre.


THE PROCESS

The Washed process at Finca la Primavera involves:

  • 🍒 Selective Hand Picking — Only ripe Geisha cherries are selected at harvest
  • 🔧 Mechanical Pulping — The outer cherry skin is removed to expose the parchment bean
  • 💧 Fermentation — Beans ferment in water to fully remove the mucilage layer
  • 💧 Washing — Thorough washing in clean water for exceptional cup clarity
  • ☀️ Raised Bed Drying — Dried on elevated beds for even, controlled drying

The fully washed process preserves the Geisha variety's signature florals and fruit character with perfect precision and clarity.
